What is aluminium surface treatment?
Back to faq
Aluminum surface treatment can contribute to improving adhesion, strengthening the material, or enhancing the appearance of the final product. These improvements can be achieved through various aluminum surface treatments. Here are the treatments briefly explained:
- Powder coating: By powder coating, a protective and decorative layer is applied. This not only enhances the appearance but also significantly strengthens the material by adding a powder coat layer.
- Anodizing: During the anodizing process, an electric current is applied to the plate, creating an oxide layer. This makes the surface, as well as the internal layer of the material, much stronger. Anodizing aims to add an additional protective layer, especially in situations where the material is exposed to the elements.
- Wet painting (Wet coating): Wet painting is purely for decorative purposes. It is carried out in one of our spray booths and results in a smooth and aesthetically pleasing finish. This result cannot be achieved with powder coating.
By applying these aluminum surface treatments, you can achieve different desired properties for the material and enhance its overall performance and appearance.
