CNC Operator
SAG Netherlands is a producer and supplier of aluminium products made from thin sheet metal, located in Katwijk (ZH). SAG Netherlands manufactures aluminium fuel tanks, hydraulic tanks, and related products for the automotive industry. Because the automotive industry is constantly evolving, we have also focused on developing and producing aluminium products that contribute to sustainable mobility. This has led to the creation of the business unit Aluminized. With Aluminized, we specialize in providing customized aluminium products, such as bicycle frames and cargo bike boxes. We have approximately 250 employees working at our locations in Katwijk and Rijnsburg.
For Aluminized, we are looking for a CNC OPERATOR.
As a CNC Operator, you will work in a team of six colleagues, focusing on the production of aluminium products based on provided instructions and drawings. You will report to the team leader. The position is available for 40 hours per week, and currently, this department operates in a two-shift system.
What else?
You will perform operational tasks based on work instructions or operating instructions, such as setting machine parameters, tools, and materials according to the production plan. Check and interpret technical drawings and specifications to perform the correct operations. You will perform quality control measurements on the manufactured products for accuracy and quality and ensure a neat finish. You will identify and report any deviations or irregularities. Monitor the production process within allowable margins and make adjustments as necessary. You will contribute to optimizing the production process and suggest improvements to enhance the manufacturability of product designs. Participate in team meetings and make suggestions for equipment, procedures, and work methods. Ensure safe working practices following safety instructions. Perform daily maintenance on the machines. You will troubleshoot minor issues and liaise with the Maintenance department when necessary. Maintain the machine environment according to 5S guidelines. Assist on other (tank) production departments as needed.
Who are you:
You have MBO-level education and completed Operator B or C training. You pay attention to accuracy and detail. You have at least a few months of relevant work experience as an operator or metalworker. Knowledge of LVD fiber laser and LVD press brake is a plus. You work well in a team. You are proficient in both Dutch and English. Willingness to work in 2- and possibly 3-shift systems.
