SAG Netherlands is a manufacturer and supplier of aluminum products from thin sheet metal, located in Katwijk (ZH). We specialize in producing aluminum fuel tanks, hydraulic tanks, and related products for the automotive industry. As the automotive industry is constantly evolving, we have also focused on developing and manufacturing aluminum products that contribute to sustainable mobility and renewable energy. Our expertise lies in delivering customized aluminum products. We operate with approximately 250 employees across our locations in Katwijk and Rijnsburg.
We are currently seeking a Sales Engineer to join our Product Engineering & Business Development department.
As a Sales Engineer, you will be the key liaison between SAG Netherlands and potential customers. Your objective is to translate customer needs into feasible products in a manner that creates a win-win situation. The customer is satisfied with the solution, and SAG Netherlands is content with the orders. You possess strong commercial drive along with the necessary technical knowledge to convert customer requirements into practical and commercial advice. Working with a small team, you will primarily focus on the development of the Aluminized business unit of SAG Netherlands. You will report to the Manager Product Engineering & Business Development.
What will you do?
- You actively approach potential customers.
- You maintain contact with existing customers.
- You combine technical expertise with commercial skills to provide solutions that meet customer needs.
- You prepare and follow up on quotations.
- You identify market opportunities and convert them into concrete actions.
- You stay informed about developments in the technical sector.
- You visit and participate in trade shows.
Who are you:
- HBO level of education and thinking (in a technical direction, e.g. Technical Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering).
- You are commercially driven, proactive, creative, and results-oriented.
- You have knowledge of CAD systems.
- Preferably, you have considerable work experience in a similar commercially technical role.
- You have an affinity for technology.
- You possess persuasive skills, vision, and good teamwork abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide technical advice.
- Fluency in both Dutch and English.
- Experience in the sustainable mobility or renewable energy industry is a plus.
